I’m Ken Wolfe and I am running to be your next City Council Representative here in District 3 on May 21st. My story is typical Pittsburgh. An immigrant grandfather came to America, found his soul mate and put down roots here. My parents met very young on the streets of my neighborhood, Allentown, married and raised six children struggling through some of the toughest times Pittsburgh has known. My Dad worked at J&L Southside before PNC bank where he was a shop steward during the Justice for Janitors strike in 1987. As a young child the strike made a lasting impact. I started working young to help my family make ends meet, I might have even been your paperboy.
My public service started in the early 2000’s when I attended a meeting about the impact
of a local bank leaving the neighborhood, and because of that meeting I was asked to join the board of the Allentown Neighborhood Assoc, I saw the opportunity as a good way to advocate and show pride in the community in which I was born, raised, and made a lifelong home.
I want to be your City Councilman to make connections and work together on the issues that affect us all. I have seen what happens firsthand and know how the city can help us. I will be your voice in the halls of government. My experiences and passion have well prepared me on my journey to City Council and has made me better able to proudly serve and affect positive changes in the home I love and share with my beautiful wife and our expanding family. I will work for YOU.
